Marvel Congratulates The 2016 Eisner Award Winners!

Each year the Eisner Awards ceremony recognizes the best and brightest creators for their contributions to the comics industry. Marvel is pleased to congratulate Jason Aaron, Dan Slott, Mike Allred, David Aja and Jordie Bellaire who all took home an award from the 2016 ceremony held during San Diego Comic-Con, this past weekend. Marvel creators earned Eisner Awards for the following:
Best Writer – Jason Aaron, THE MIGHTY THOR, STAR WARS, DOCTOR STRANGE & MEN OF WRATH (Marvel ICON)
Best Single Issue/One-Shot – Dan Slott & Mike Allred, SILVER SURFER #11

Synopsis
Christian Wolff (Affleck) is a math savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance accountant for some of the world’s most dangerous criminal organizations. With the Treasury Department’s Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King (J.K. Simmons), starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of- the- art robotics company where an accounting clerk (Anna Kendrick) has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian uncooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise.
THE ACCOUNTANT is released in cinemas November 4 2016.

REVIEW - Matt Damon is "Bourne" Again

There are be plenty of critics saying that "Jason Bourne" isn't up there with the very best of the series, and pleading a case that the series should have been left to end with "The Bourne Ultimatum", which is one of the best trilogy wrap ups in popular film. And they might have a very solid point, except that it didn't end there. Torchwood's Gareth David-Lloyd To Attend GeekedFest In August

GEEKEDFEST is coming to Newport Centre on 6th & 7th August and are excited to announce a local lad to the weekend with none other than the actor, singer, all-round great guy…Gareth David-Lloyd!
Gareth is well known in the TV circuit; he has an extensive list of appearances from TV to Theatre and even voice acting for the gaming industry. Gareth’s first appearance was in the TV show “Absolute Power” as Pope Idol. From then he starred in shows such as “Casualty”, “Mine all Mine” and “Beethoven”. In 2008 Gareth became the well-known “Ianto Jones” character in Doctor Who to then continue the role into Torchwood. After 38 episodes (he will be back though!) Gareth worked on “Waterloo Road” and “Holby City” to name a few and more recently in 2014 voiced the character “Solas” in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Phew!
Apart from being on-screen Gareth has appeared in many theatre shows and fronts the metal progressive bank “Blue Gillespie”.

Review - Stranger Things

Stranger Things is a Netflix original eight part TV series that is a love letter to Steven Spielberg and those 80's supernatural classics that, if you are of a certain age would eagerly pop into your family's video recorder and play over and over again.

Set in 1983 Indiana, the plot of Stranger Things begins with a young boy vanishing into thin air.
